i found a pre 16 K 32 masterpiece in my grandfathers things. It is in the gold box and never been fired. wondering if someone knows anything about it.

I am no expert but know that S&W produced the K series in three calibers. The K-22, the K-32 & the K-38. all had 6" barrels with adjustable sights and were considered the "Cats Pajamas". S&W Also produced the K series with 4" barrels but were labeled as "Conbat" variations with different front sights. Not able to be specific but am sure your Gandfather's K-32 will be a treasured keep sake. I do know that the K-32 was the one K model that wasn't as popular and not many were sold as compared to the .38 & .22 calibers and consequently is the most sought after. These revolvers were accompanied with (screw driver) sight adjustment tool, cleaning tools and certain paperwork & with the correct box and are sought after by the serious collectors. All this is contingent on the fact that the stocks (grips) are serialed to the revolver and of course, the condition is a very serious defining characteristic as to price Hopfully others who are more qualified will come along and fill in the important details.
