Just got my new GI 1911. Anyone carry a full size 1911?

I think you will find that there are many, many people that do carry a full size, IWB, OWB and as a duty pistol. I am one that does.

Everyday, all day my friend. With a good holster, it'll never bother you.

I carry a fullsize 1911 80% of the time.I use a Alessi Talon WatchSix and a Wilderness 5 stitch belt.I start to feel it after the 10th hour or so but thats how it goes if you want to carry such a fine handgun.

I carry a full size in a Milt Sparks Watch Six. The key is getting a good belt...and remembering a sidearm is supposed to be comforting, not comfortable. (I believe Clint Smith said that...if he didn't he should have) |

I don't right now, but I will in the future. Right now, my XD9 Service does just fine IWB.

Don't have a 1911, but my XD/M 9mm is full size and I carry it or a S&W Sigma .40 IWB. No problems.

I carry a fullsize 1911, 10mm, Sparks 2 inch belt with Sparks IWB VM II holster. If you get any other brand holster OWB or IWB make sure you get a sturdy holster, 1.5 inch is very popular.

Always carry a full size 1911, and always will, when I put my pants on in the morning until I take them off at night, than it sleeps next to my bed within reach.
