| new recoil spring
hey everyone, been thinking of starting my upgrades to my xd 9 with a recoil spring. What is a good one to use as far as the lbs of pressure go. just want something to reduce recoil and help if i decide to run some higher grain ammo through her

Send a e-mail to Springfield Armory and ask them; They can give you the original specifications and you can go from there. If you are shooting a hot defense load or pin load, go up a couple of pounds to see if that is what you are looking for. Need a light load for steel or targets... try lighter until you get the desired results. No one can give you the exact spring pressure you'll need for your particular needs or wants. Trial and error, trial and error, until you feel what you are looking for. On the plus side, springs are fairly cheap and it never hurts to have a few extra. Good luck, Buddy |

i figured as much but i did not want to pick one that would cause any problems because it took too much pressure off
