GP competition

Seriously considering purchase of a GP Competition for local club league. I'm not familiar with the Hi-Powers and have a few questions. Are there any mounts available to put a red dot on the pistol and will they work on the GP also (my eyes aren't what they used to be)? Will standard mags also fit the GP? ( I have read that many of the parts will not interchange but some will.) Also, anyone familiar with this old war horse and can suggest some load recipes ? Thanks for any help.
