I was late seeing your post...I have no idea what Ray is doing these days but Iwould love to know how to contact him. I think Bill Jarvis probably might have a clue...I'll check on that for sure..

What ever happened to Ray

He left California and closed his shop here around 1979 or 1980. He always talked about going to Washington state and living in the back country. He did go to washington state but I think he has since moved to Montana or Wyoming and lives out in the country. If you find out where he is I would love to contact him as well.

This is my first post here and know this is an old thread but I seemed to have lost the documentation that came with a Centaur 10mm comp/barrel kit. Is there anyway o get a copy of it?

Thanks

Okay, this is my first post and I'm resurrecting an old thread so forgive me, but I had to add some information in here.
I work for Ray right now. He still oversee's Centaur, but he's also given life to another fantastic creation. MechTech - Home is his creation. He sits on the board of directors and is the majority shareholder, but isn't in the position of CEO any longer.
He's still got the barrels laying around the shop that you guys are talking about and I'll be buying one from him for my upcoming 1911-build. It's an awesome concept.
I've known Ray for about 20-years or so. He's still an awesome and brilliant guy! You wouldn't believe the cool, interesting and obscure stuff he has laying around the shop!!

Aloha,
This is also my first post. I am helping a friend with an estate. We have
(2) NIB Centaur Systems Q-Comp/ .45/GM-Blue ...barrels
...with all the stuff still in the boxes. The barrels look stainless to me the screw on compensators are blue. The were bought and shipped in Jan 1989. It looks like they opened the boxes and looked at them .. brand new.
I am not a creep who stumbled in here to make a fast buck.
I am a real gun guy, I shoot high power service rifle competitions, and I own a polished stainless gold cup with ivory grips.

These parts need to be sold. Can anyone help me make that happen?

Thanks for your time.

Centaur

I have a few of Ray's barrels and would always be interested in buying more if anyone wants to sell.

I also have copies of the literature I can email if anybody wants it.

Hi Folks - I just found out that the Quadra-Lok barrel systems are being revived. The outfit doing it is Baiar Precision located in Columbia Falls, MT. I have no idea just when stuff will be available but you might call Mike Baiar at 406/253-3791. I understand that Ray Herriott is advising them.
