P-38/P-1 DA trigger pull improvement?
What dictates the weight of a P-38 trigger pull? The trigger spring or the mainspring? I have long been told that the P-38 DA trigger can not be improved. Sorry, I'm not buying this. Does anyone do trigger work on the P-38 platform? The single action is fine, but the DA is heavy and stagy.
Comments? Observations? Gripes, moans, complaints?

I would imagine you could TRY swapping the hammer(main)spring with a Beretta 92D(or a USGI 1911 hammer spring, for that matter) hammer spring. I'm not even sure that's possible, as I don't have a P38/P1 to examine, but the designs are SOOOO similar, it MIGHT be possible.
