| Tanfoglio "L" Model Hammer Spring Replacement
I have the Model "L" Tanfoglio. It takes the smaller hammer spring that sits horizontal, I think within the frame as opposed to the grip. The D/A pull is beyond heavy. S/A pull is sweet and crisp. I have two questions. First is replacing the hammer spring within the bounds of an four thumbed amateur (me), or is job best left to a 'smith. 2nd question would be what strength of spring would be best to install as I would like to get D/A pull down to around 5#'s. Wolfe lists 13, 14 & 15 lb. springs and indicates 15lb to be factory. Thank you for taking the time to respond. Bob |

I am not familiar with the innards of the Tanfoglio mutated that far from CZ and do not know how much trouble it would be to change the mainspring, but... I do not consider a 5 lb DA achievable. Maybe ten.

Ummm. Based upon your comments perhaps I look for to much. Even 10 lbs. would be a lot better than I hav right now. Still not sure whether or not this is within my capabilities. Might be better off just sending it down to a 'smith and get a job down on the internals as well. Thanks for the reply, Bob |
