DE Upgrape

1st post, I got after the piistolsmith had probs with wife, he had it for 20 years , well I got it back



DE Facelift
Enhanced Slide with BO-MAR cut & Novac dovetail






More to do's,
Fitted Essex Enhanced slide & engraving. After more upgrades and function testing, have the front strap checkered then re-finish entire DE









Function Test went well, added fibre optic front site, ambi saftey, high grip beavertail, VZ Grips. Last things to do is checker front strap 20 lpi and re-finishing entire DE

Well I finally got it re-finished (Bearcoat) and checkering of the front strap. I think it came out pretty good.

Smithie tried to keep mine for that long he'd have warrants on him!

Gun turned out nice though. Even if it is a 'betweener 10.

Hey blackz28, is that rear sight v-notched to help achieve precise alignment with your Hi-Viz front sight ? I tried a few HV sights on revolvers, but ended up removing them. They didn't provide a repeatable, precise sight picture for Bullseye shooting and didn't pick up enough ambient light to glow in the port of an indoor range. I never swapped the square notch for a v-notch rear sight, however. Gotta agree with Sarge about the warrant.......

I like it too... really nice! I'm getting close to springing for one of these myself the more I look at them. I was close to pulling the pins and buying a nighthawk but think a DE with some small touches from a quality smith might suit me better. Thanks for posting the pics.
