10mm eaa premature slide lock

My DE doesn't want to reliably feed round shoulder bullets. I've also had premature slide lock with RNFP. I guess it's TC or HPs from now on out. RickB was shooting with me and told me to look inside the chamber for copper on the slide stop--Yep, it's there.

BTW, I'm loading to an OAL of around 1.255"-1.257". Too long loaded? (I know max. OAL is 1.260".)

For what it is worth, I shoot 180gr and 155gr West Coast RNFP in my 10mm with no problems. I use a maximum OAL of 1.250 inches. I am also using a standard .45 slide stop and Metalform 9rd mags.

Premature slide lock is generally a magazine issue in my experience. I had it happen all the time with Metalform 9-rounders, but not Colt or CMC magazines. Just a thought.

Sean, funny you should mention premature slide lock. My experience was they would not lock back at all, till I put heavier springs in them. I have not tried the CMC 9rd mags yet, but I intend to.
