1911 10mm magazine

My question is, based on your personal experience, what is the most reliable magazine for the 1911 in 10mm. I currently have a couple of Chip McCormick mags, I believe, I have never run them but one will not hold the slide back or eject when the mag release is depressed. Thanks for the help.

I can't vouch for these, but in the new Brownells catalog(#55) there are 10mm 1911 mags listed. The mags are manufactured by Shooting Star, are listed with or without base pads, with a capacity of 9 rounds.

Anyone out there have any experience with these mags?

Hi guys:
These mags are one in the same, i.e. both are CMC 10mm mags, with a cap. of 9rds.. Several of us here have a fair bit of experience with them, and the consensus seems to be that they, along with the stock Delta Elite (Colt) mags, seem to work pretty darn well. Dane, I believe, has also had good luck with Metalform 10mm mags. Wilson used to make a 10mm mag, but they are hard to find these days, and, in my experience aren't any better than the CMC's or stockers.

Jim, if you're having probs with one of your mags, give CMC a call, and I'm sure they'll take care of you. If you do a 'Search' through the archives here, you'll find several discussions on 10mm mags. Take care.

In the end I had the best experience with Colt 8-rounders with Wolff XP springs. CMC usually worked well too.

I've been using Colt 10mm magazines with great sucess. They are also relatively easy to find...

Colt and CMC mags work with all bullet types in my DE. The Wilson Combat mags only feed jacketed bullets. In my gun anyway.
