.22lr conversion on a Springfield .38 super mil-spec???
Will any of the conversion units fit on a SPringfield .38 super lower?
I am wanting to get in more range time, and teach my wife to shoot.
My choices are:
1) get a .22lr conversion unit for the springfield
2) try to build a dedicated .22lr (havent built from scratch before)
3) buy one of the Kimber rimfire target dedicated rimfire pistols

2. $200 -$300 for conversion unit + costs associated with frame assy
3. I do not know the price.
IMO get an inexpensive 4" .22 revolver to teach the wife with and keep it around for plinking. With a revolver, you can catch flinches easier that with a semi-auto.

The Cienier kit can be used on a 38 super or 9mm with a bit of modifaction.. The ejector clearence slot in the slide will have to be opened to allow the thicker extractor clearance.. If you were to remove the ejector,it's not needed for the 22lr, there would be nothing else that needed to be done.. It should work just fine..Mine does..
