How does the muzzle blast of these cartridges compare:38 super,357 sig,9x23 win and 45 acp?I know from personal expierence that some of the loads in the 7.62x25 will rattle your dental fillings after about 50 rounds. And I have heard that the 357 sig can be a real screecher. But I defer to those with first hand expierence.

depends on barrel length and type/quantity of powder used. I think the .357 Sig is purposely loaded with slower powder to increase muzzle blast as a marketing ploy.

The 357 SIG and 9x23mm would be the worst. I doubt that I could tell one from the other standing beside the shooter. .38 Super still has a pretty good little blast, but not as much as the other 2. .45ACP is relatively mild and at the bottom of this list. |
