Mine keyholed with cast swcs, was 5" at 50 yds, with JS
match ammo, tho. The 1911 mag will work in the PD, if you epoxy, or tack weld a spacer on the spine of the mag. Without such swc or jhp ammo's nose will "catch" on the mag catch, push the mag backwards in the frame, and it will then fall out of the gun.

I over bought in the 80s
I need to down sizing my collection of the Star PDs I could see myself selling
one for $350.00 with five clips, one new buffer, a slightly used buffer, manual, cleaning kit, and the case. I probably put about 500 or so rounds through this one. all of the star PDs that I own cycle nicely and are dependable.

star pd 45
sir, are you still looking for a star pd 45? I have one not new but excellent condition. I have original box and cleaning gear that came with it. I never fired it but I think Las Vegas Police fired it for ballistics when I bought it. It is nickel. I can send pictures to you if I knew where. It is too small for my hand and never really felt comfortable.

You might want to look at the original posting dates on this forum.
The forum went out of business some years ago, then was brought back.
For that reason you'll find a lot of old posts.
As example this one was originally posted in 2003 and last posted to in 2013.
