| Unusual Star PD?
I was hoping someone could answer a question about my Star PD. I bought this gun new about 10-12 years ago. What makes it unusual, at least to me, is that it has a hooked trigger guard. The rear sight is also different from other PD's i've seen in that the rear sight is dove tailed into the slide but is not inset into the very rear of the slide as I've seen on all other PD's . The slide shows Star banner on one side of the slide and on the other side of the slide resides Interarms info. and the caliber marking. On the bottom of the butt, just behind where the magazine is inserted is the "PD" marking. The serial number is 1949xxx. Any information wil be appreciated. |

That's a late production gun. The finish is also rougher than the earlier guns.
