| Spring rates for 9x23
Wondering what you guys are running in your 9X23 1911 type guns, both main and recoil.

What ever it takes to get the slide and barrel back into battery every time...I don't run as heavy a spring as some do....I use the firein' pin stop to slow the rearward travel of the slide , some will use a heavier spring but heavier springs means more muzzle dip as the slide goes into battery...As with any HOTTRODD whetever it be Car, truck , tractor , bullduzer , or whatever , and a 9x23 is a HOTROD and there will be more wear reguardless of how it is sprung Wild Bill |

Thanks again Bill. I have used both a 18.5 and a 16, gun runs fine with both and seems to have better recovery with the 16 #. r gunfrog |

forgot to mention, I upped my main spring from 15, to 20#. I may try upping to 23, but I want the gun to run with the 9 mm barrel with out having to swap out the main spring.
