My surplus 92S
A year ago I got the "jones" to buy a Beretta. I could not afford $600+ so I bought an Italian surplus 92S. They sent me a gun that appeared to be almost unshot. See pics of condition. It shoots POA. I have it suppressed and it is silly quiet. I need the red laser b/c the suppressor blocks the front sight. The sights are not the low type on most 92s's, but rather just like a normal Beretta would have. The shiny spots are not wear, but rather flash from my camera.

Congrats on your purchase.
Crimson Trace Laser grips will replace the stock grips with no alteration to the pistol.

I am late to the party too.
I have used my old Beretta. 92s for my behind the Bar pistol, at my Tavern business for at least 5 years.
I have a lighter SA trigger , from a gunsmith job...actually too light.
Good cosmetic shape for 36 years old.
Using the Beretta, I actually shared. a win by tie ing for 1st place at a centerfire pistol shoot.
( 9 competitors)
Got a MecGar 20 rd. Mag put a S notch in it , by Allegheny Gun Works (S. Pittsburgh)
Using Tri -Flo & Super lube oil on it.... Pistol is like a new toy with luminescent paint dots on the sights.
