My ex-wife's youngest (29) bought one last year and WE love it. Handloads with 405 grain cast bullets and 50 grains of IMR 4064 make one helluva thump on a steel plate at 100 yards, and after fiddling with the iron sights and using a bit of holdover, we were launching plastic milk jugs into the treetops clear out at 200. What's not to like about a rifle like that? JT |

Hey guys, I have one of these but haven't loaded anything for it yet. A friend of mine says to use only cast bullets because the rifle has "cut rifling" & that jacketed bullets will eventually ruin the barrel. Is there any truth to his claims? TIA, Netherwolf |

All bullets eventually ruin all barrels, So yeh there's "Some" truth. But Your sholder, your sons sholder, your grandsons sholder will be worn out long before a modern low velocity maintained rifle barrel will be from quality bullets.

GREAT rifles! This is the only base one of the well known custom rifle guys will use for a lever gun. I am picking one up soon to get all set up in time for hunting season I hope. Time to sell some other firearms in order to fun this and a custom 1911 I am getting. Ill have to get off my butt and figure out what I want to sell and get them listed. |
