Browning HP made in 1990 "NEW IN box" Price check.
I wasnt really shopping for a gun, but came accross a Browning HP made in 1990 "NEW IN box" . Serial # is 245NM199XX. It has fixed three dot sights, and Pachmeyer wrap around grips. I can pick this up for $550.00. Is this a good deal. I have NO experience with HP's. Can you tell me a bit about the quality, reliability, durablity of HP's from the 1990's. any commments will be helpfull.

Both are quality pieces. Beyond that, the differences would be mostly subjective. As in: Which one feels better, shoots better, etc. for YOU?
That's a decent price on the BHP by the way. Chances are good that you could find a similarly "minty" Glock 19 for less money, if that means anything to you.
Personally I just shoot a Hi Power better than a Glock, due to the true single-action trigger, and perhaps a grip angle that agrees with me more. If you've had good experiences with 1911s this would likely be the case for you as well. Seems like the best Glock shooters I've met didn't have as much trigger time with 1911s and such, and didn't find themselves struggling to transition to the Glock's grip and trigger.
That's what I've observed in my little corner of the world anyhow.
