Guide Rod Fit

I got 2 new Bar-Sto barrels in 9mm last week for my BHP( ordered them in May of 2012). When you put the guide rod loop in to the slot in the barrel it bottoms in the barrel cut before it makes contact with the surface on either side of the rod loop. There is about a .015 gap.Factory barrel it rest on the the surface either side of the loop.Seems to me that the loop will become out of round after some time, and my give me problems getting the gun apart or worse jam it up when you need it most. Any one have some info. that will help?

Don't get mad, but I have to ask...you sure you didn't install the guide rod upside down?

When it is installed correctly, it is flush on both sides of the barrel lug and also parallel to the barrel and slide when viewed from the side.
If installed upside down, the guide rod will be lightly offset to the left side of the lug and will not be parallel to the barrel and slide.
