New vs old Hi Power

I am new to the group and need some advice. I recently acquired a C Series Hi Power in excellent condition. I really enjoy shooting the gun.

Part of me would like to keep it in excellent shape and to just store it. I am considering getting another to use as a "shooter" and do not know if I am better served to look for an older Belgian model or to go with the new Standard Hi Power (Portugese assembled) for that purpose.

What are the thoughts of you folks? Thanks for the anticipated advice.

Hello. I'd go with the newer Belgium/Portugal gun. Better sights and thumb safety are already there.
