colt model 1908 modified

hello I'm new to the forum and this is my first post . Anyhow i was wondering if a colt 08 pocket 380 could be made into a more potent carry gun, like a conversion to 9mm cal. or something. Ive alway thought the 08 model was a stylish looking piece.

I doubt it.
It is already a 1903 .32 design opened up to take .380.
It is a blowback action with a rather light slide and probably would not hold a higher pressure cartridge.

The only modern, high velocity gun I know of even close to these sleek old pistols is the Kahr.

No, don't try to hot rod a Colt model 1908 or you will be sorry. They were not designed for anything with more pressure or slide velocity than the original .380 ACP loads.
