| Colt Woodsman Valuation Questions
Hi, I have an 1920 Colt Pre-Woodsman. It probably has not been shot with more than 100 rounds of ammo. It has a serial number of 16771. It is in fantastic shape with original wood hand grips. I was wondering what it could be worth? Any help would be appreciated.

Value depends on how much original finish is left, plus on it being in proper working order and all original. Prices will probably be higher but here's some ball park figures: 80%--$450 90%--$675 95%--$950 98%--$1,600 100%--$2,200 Add 10% for a pre-1922 pencil barrel, serial below 31000. These models were NOT to be fired with modern High Speed ammo, use Standard Velocity ONLY. Note that early guns were shot with corrosive ammo so barrels may be pitted. Watch out for barrels that were replaced due to pitting. |
