Colt Commercial Model
I would like some help,if possible. I have acquired a Colt commercial model(1911A1) built in 1933. The serial # is C171000. The gun is in really great shape. It was bought from a collection. I got it from a friend.
The gun looks like it may have been refinished at one time BUT all the numbers are readable(on the frame, slide and elsewhere).
I am confused on something....There is no lettering on the left side of the slide. On the right you can read most of the Colt name..It is difficult to see the automatic pistol 45 beside it.
I would like to find out what the worth is of this pistol. I traded new 92FS Beretta for it. By the way, the gun is very tight...doesn't appear to have been shot very much........Any help would be appreciated...
