Joe , anybody that ever seen what a mortar crew could do should not doubt what Elmer could do with a model 29.. Over the years I won a lot of money with a ragged ass model 60 Smith shootin at a 5 gal. bucket at 100 yds....sometimes 5 bucks a shot or 5 rd strings at $50....have to miss some to keep the suckers sucked in....I used to do this often on a sandbar on the Ouchita river south of My old hometown of Columbia...Dumb AZZs didn't know My point of aim was a limb high up in a dead pine 40 yds behind the bucket...so Yeah ....Elmer could shoot ...theres always somebody that's such a pu$$! they can't and They try to cut down those that worked hard at it and can do it

Glad to see you around Bill, I been missin' ya. Your right, once you got the trajectory doped, it's childs' play. Sounds like you had yourself a pretty good little part time job there on the banks of the Ouchita. Elmer was the BEST, and NOBODY ever looked better wearin' a Montana crease.........
