Colt Lawman Mark III
 

Hey I have a Colt Lawman Mark III just bought..but it has a 2 1/2 inch barrel..
SN#L19569. Anyone know when it was made or how many of the 2/1/2 verisions they made? :rolleyes:

Your Mark III Lawman was made in 1976.

The Lawman Mark III was made only with a 4" heavy barrel with an exposed ejector rod, with a 2" barrel with an exposed ejector rod, and with a 2" barrel with a shrouded ejector rod.
The 2" shrouded barrel guns look like a giant Detective Special.

It was not made with a 2 1/2" barrel. The barrel is measured from the front of the cylinder to the end of the barrel.

Only Colt knows how many with the 2" barrel versions were made and that's information Colt doesn't release.
They aren't rare, but not extremely common either. You can almost always find a few for sale on the gun auction sites.
