I am a new member and this is my first post. I just bought a Dan Wesson .44 magnum revolver. I think it was made in the late 70s or early 80s. It has the 8" ported, ventilated rib barrel with the full underlug. I need to know for my New York State paperwork what model this gun is - there doesn't seem to be any model stamped anywhere on the gun. It also didn't come with any accessories like a barrel tool, etc. What items would have been included with this gun back when it was purchased new ? Also, where can I find these items now ? Thanks very much in advance for responding.

Welcome to Pistolsmith.com! Dan Wesson was purchased by CZ. I'd start by contacting them: http://www.cz-usa.com/ I believe that they have some parts and tools for their older revolvers. You can also find parts and tools on ebay and the various gun auction sites.
