dan wesson 44 mag disassembly

I have an older ''Monson" .44 magnum 6" VH revolver. I have looked all over the place for a detailed guide for disassembly but can't find anything decent (online or printed). I'd like to do an inspection and detailed cleaning but have no idea how to tear it down properly. I'm fairly mechanically-inclined but don't want to get into a gun like this without some resources. Any ideas?

It seems to me some years ago a gunsmith wrote a book with pictures detailing the takedown of various revolvers with lots of pictures indicating the steps. Unfortunately, I forget the author and book name but it was softbound and might still be in print. Someone here or on one of the other forums should be aware of the book with more details on it.

That book covers the model 15, but not the larger-framed 44's. Thanks, though.

I recall somewhere someone took one apart. It takes 3+ hands to get back together if I recall the discussion. It is a bit more involved than a Redhawk and most definitely the medium frame DW with a sideplate. This was in some magazine 20 years or so ago.
