need help on how to retime cylinder

I recently received a Dan Wesson .357 pistol pack as a gift(model 15 I believe), inside had 4 interchangeable barrels, extra sights, tool, etc etc you get the point. my problem is I went to shoot it and it worked great except every 6-8 rounds the gun acted as if it had a safety(which it doesn't) and id have to acting wiggle the cylinder a little, hear a click, and resume shooting. I'm now just starting to learn about gunsmithing online(Penn Foster) and it mentioned something that reminded me of the problem I have. I cant seem to find a how-to or description anywhere on how to fix this. any ideas? and to be completely honest, I'm not 100% sure if it needs retimed at all, thanks in advance

Possibly the trigger is not returning fully.
If it fails to reset, the action locks up.
Juggling the cylinder may allow the trigger to fully reset.

the trigger does return fully, the cylinder doesn't always return fully tho. after further investigating and making a few phone calls, ive heard of another possible problem that could cause this having to do with one(or more) spring inside of the gun. just want to make sure before I dive into it
