I think you've posted this on several forums and I answered on two.

Nickel plating will NOT cover pitting. In fact plating it will make the pits look even worse.

In order to be plated and look reasonable will require the services of a master polisher with the skill to polish out the pits and not ruin the surfaces by rounding off edges or leaving ripples in the flat surfaces.

One of the few that can do this is APW-Cogan.
