have been telling me that the s&w sigma is a carbon copy of the glock
now i need to know just how far this is true.
looking for a NON-TRITIUM set of fiber optic sights for a s&w 40F and no one makes them apparently, just the tritium f-o
looking at some glocks in the case at a show saturday they APPEAR to use the same dovetail/post, but does anyone here know for sure if they will work?
plain f-o sights for glock seem to be in every makers catalog

Re: glock gurus...
I have to agree - folks show up at matches with Sigmas from time to time - even if they run reliably the bad trigger hurts the performance. Perhaps keep the Sigma as a backup house gun but get a Glock or XD or even M&P - you will be better served.

Glock, XD or M&P - all similar and maybe better guns than what you have. Sorrry I realise that isn't much help. And no the sights aren't the same and it isn't a carbon copy. Close enough that Glock thought it warrented a law suit though .

Glock sights should not fit on the Sigma.
I have heard from industry sources that the Sigma has had many of its bugs worked out, and is being sold in droves overseas. However, I agree with Dane - the Glock, XD, or an M&P all three are likely a better choice.

If I owned a Sigma, I would send it to WMI for their ultimate Sigma job(landfill filler).
Glock works, my M&P appears to work. Can't say a word about XD, never shot one.

If I didn't shoot a 1911 I would probably be shootin' an XDM in 40cal , if I didn't have a 1911 Commander for a carry pistol I'd probably go with a CZ 75 first choice , Springer XDM second choice , since the XDM came out I've seen quite a few run in USPSA matches , all I've seen are reliable and I've seen some with safe two pound trigger pulls

I had a sigma. Actually 2. 1 in 9 and 1 in 40. HAD is the operative word. I opened 'em up and slickened up the ENTIRE inside of 'em to try and sweeten the deal. They're just close enough to a GLOCK to make you wish it were one. They're literally almost IDENTICAL! Almost.Close enuff to tempt you, different enuff to pi** you off.
