| Need advice on my Interarms Star Super B - 9mm
As posted, I have an interarms star super B 9 mm auto. Resembles a 1911 frame. I am wanting to acquire some spare magazines. Only factory mags are available for this gun, and parts are hard to find. I was told that just any factory magazine bought from like a gun show might not work. The person told me that these auto's were particular to certain mags due to factory tolerances. They told me I'd have to bring them the firearm to have one sized for this particular gun. Does any one have any experience with this issue? Sounded a little funny at the time. I've had a few chances to buy mags for this gun, but don't want to end up with mags that don't work. Any experienced advice will be extremely helpful. Thanks.....Ken. |

FACTORY magazines not fitting, is at least a possibility. Star, like many Spanish gun companies were not known for high quality or for maintaining specifications on size of mags. They were often known to keep using stamping dies long after they'd worn out, so you got factory new mags that wouldn't fit or function correctly. If you can take the gun to have a magazine test fitted, that might save you some time, money, and grief. |
