Has any member had experience with 1911 master gunsmith John Harrison of Harrison Design & Consulting? I've been impressed by some of his work I've seen on the 'net (and one at the range). I'm thinking seriously about sending him an older Series 80 GM .45 for some improving but I'd like to get some feedback from previous customers as to craftsmanship, wait time, willingness of Mr. Harrison to talk the project over beforehand, accuracy and RELIABILITY of the finished weapon, and so on. Any info would be muchly appreciated.
(I have searched this site and found a long-time and apparently very knowledgeable member named John Harrison associated with Precision Gunworks. Is this coincidental or the same Mr. Harrison now operating as Harrison Design?)
