1911 gunsmith houston texas

Have been interested in a gunsmith in Houston but have not been able to locate one. Does not seem that anyone has need of one, except me.

It depends on what you are looking for, Teddy Jacobson of Actions by T does excellent work or Eddie Jeminea(?) builds race guns plus smithing. Both are located in Sugar Land area.

Again, depending on what type of weapon you are talking about, Ed VandenBurg is a great guy to deal with for 1911s, Remington shotguns and bolt guns and AR15s. He has worked on several of my guns and I trust him with my life.

Ed is located in southeast Houston on Hwy 3.

Whom else do you guys recommend for 1911 work.

I'm in need of a new hammer, slide to frame fitting and some trigger work.

I would like to hear about their experience, what kind of work they have done for you and what the results where.

If I can't find one in Houston than I suppose I will need to send off out of town.

I am going to try out Ed Vanden Berg as suggested.
He is very close too me.
He has a web site. vanden berg custom.

Ed Vanden Berg has built, modified or repaired my guns for at least 15 years and I couldn't be happier. My daily carry handgun is a Colt SS Commander he customized many years ago. That's how much I trust Ed.
