just wanted some help from deciding. I'm either going to get an hk usp 45 or a sig 220. Can anybody tell me why they think i should buy one over the other besides magazine capacity. Thanx for the input!!!

I can't tell you what to buy, only what I liked and disliked about the ones I have owned - a .45 USP and two P220 .45s.

P220s have better DA triggers, USP has cocked and locked capability (in some Variants.)

My first P220 would not run with the SWCs I load for 1911, the second one is not asked to. (Please, folks, don't tell me about shooting SWCs in *your* P220, they would NOT work in mine and a couple of others I have seen.) RN and JHP do just fine, just pick your ammo and it is ok.
My USP would feed any bullet shape.

The P220 will run with slightly lighter powder charges than the USP.

The P220 grip fits my hand better, USP and other high-cap .45s are the answer to a question I did not ask.

USP has less felt recoil.

USP is much more bulky for concealed carry.

220 or USP 45

Both 220 and USP 45 are great 45's. The trigger is better on 220, more precise and more predictable. The USP is lighter recoiling but much larger in size. The cocked and locked feature of the USP is great and well located. The sights are about the same, but I prefer the Sig night sights. Mag capacity goes to USP and as long as your hand feels comfortable with the grip size, you're good to go. Both guns fit slightly different needs in my opinion. Buy both and keep both....don't worry about "which is better".
