PM9 with black finish?

Anyone have many rounds through a PM9 with the new black finish? I have a MK9 and like the size/power ratio of the gun, just not the weight. I'm seriously considering a PM9 and was wondering how the black finish holds up.
Thanks...

-Tim

Its my understanding that the black PM9 is fairly new. So, there may not be anyone with extensive wear experience on these guns. However, I think this same finish is used on other guns and someone will probably chime in with their experience.

I hear it's a very, very tuff finish.

I just got one of the black ones and have about 250 rounds through it and cannot see any wear on the finish yet. The only problem I have is that the magazines keep falling out during firing. So far I have had no luck getting Kahr to reply to my voicemail. They really need an e-mail address for customer servcie/tech support.

I will keep you posted on finish wear as I get some rounds through it.

Got my black PM9 in April and have over 700 rounds fired and can't see any wear to the black finish. Getting a fist kydex pocket holster and wondering if this kydex will be harder on the black finish than nylon?

You can try [email protected] but you'll have as much luck getting someone to respond to email as you do with them returning phone calls.

Exactly how does one go about getting in touch with Kahr service? Is snail mail the best bet?

I was able to get in touch with Kahr service by calling the main number (508-795-3919) and then pushing "0" to get an operator. The operator was able to get me connected with someone in tech support. I was never able to get a live person by going through the phone menus.

I must have gotten lucky. I called them 2 weeks ago because I was looking at a used P9 and wanted to find out if it needed any upgrades, etc. The girl I talked to looked up the date it was manufactured, told me she didn't think it was missing anything but she'd put me through to someone who would know for sure. I think that guy was Javier (based strictly on the fact that the guy had an accent, and I've heard the name Javier mentioned when talking about Kahr support) and he also looked up the serial number, said it was "borderline", and told me how to check if it had the trigger spring update. The whole call took less than 5 minutes.

RE: Mags dropping

Several of us have had the problem with the mags dropping. See the earlier thread regarding "Magazine Release" from just a few days ago started by mg-ca. A new stronger mag spring and mag release button seem to fix this problem.
