Stainless guide rod ?

I see they are selling a stainless guide rod for the CW-9. Why would anyone need one? No one sees it. And just normal lubrication will guarantee an infinite lifetime. What am I missing here.

What you're missing is that people just LOVE to accessorize their guns.

True, a stainless rod won't rust easily where the blued version will, but that's a maintenance problem. (Your own fault).

Does the CW9 have a blued metal guide-rod? My MK9 Elite 98 seems to have some sort of polymer guide-rod.

I think the smaller Kahr's have plastic rods, just like Glock and many others.

The theory is that the location of the added weight will reduce muzzle flip for better second shots.

Mine, too.

I would never want to add any weight to a subcompact. My serial number is YE44XX. The only exception to that would be the Hogue Handall, Jr. that I attached to the grip-additional weight was negligible.

Re: Stainless guide rod ?

I made one out of SS and it works it still got some marks just not as bad
Kahr also sent me a new guide rod.
All I did was E mail them and tell them my new cw8 was getting bad wear on the guide rod after only 200 rounds and they sent me a new one.they didnt even ask for prof of perchase or date
