Aegis II

Has anyone seen the Kimber Aegis II 9mm in the flesh? Any thoughts on it?

I am also curious as to whether it is in the full size .45 ACP envelope or has reduced dimensions as on the Springfield EMP ( http://www.springfield-armory.com/prod- ... -emp.shtml ). I might find it more interesting than a Kahr for my purposes.

I've owned an Aegis II for a month or so. It is (I believe) the same size as a 1911 officers pistol. Its magazine is the size of a regular 1911 .45ACP magazine, but it is "blocked" in the rear of the magazine so 9mm rounds fit correctly. And this is a GREAT pistol, or at least mine is. I have fired about 500 +/- rounds of FMJ and hollow point ammo through if without any type of malfunction. I think I may have been most impressed with its accuracy, despite the 3" barrel.

An outstanding pistol, and I understand from Dennis in the Custom Shop that Kimber can't make them fast enough.

I own Kimber Ultra and Pro Aegis II 9mm pistols. The Ultra Aegis is my CCW. Both pistols have functioned flawlessly and are very reliable with FMJ and HP ammo.
