| Kimber Pro Carry SLE Help
Hello all, I recently found a gentleman who has an excellent condition Kimber Pro Carry SLE Stainless/Stainless for sale for $900. He is interested in trading me for my S&W 29-2 44 mag (1980's production). I am asking about $800-$850 for this. Can anyone tell me anything about this particular Kimber and its value? I heard that they were a limited run. In your opinion is this a good deal even if I have to lay $50-$100 boot for the difference? The S&W means nothing to me and I am not a revolver type guy anyways. I got the S&W on a trade and have about $600 in it. Any/all feedback greatly appreciated |

UPDATE: Well, I traded my S&W 29-2 for the Kimber Pro Carry SLE. Here are a few pics. It turns out that the owner of the gun use to work with Joe Bonar and he said Joe had this gun in Novaks and polished it up and tweaked it a bit.    |

where's the stippling or checkering on the front strap? $600 for a gun like that aint a bad price, but that slippery frame has to go if you want it for any serious use. When the pucker factor hits, your palms WILL sweat, dude.

A piece of rough textured skateboard tape on that front strap will give you an EXCELLENT grip, no matter how wet it gets. Minimal cost, and removable......
