Is it just me or is the kimber aegis 9mm kind of deleting half the features you want a 1911 . like smoothing out mag release then extending it ( all kimbers are extended ) , bobing the safety ( and most kimbers are extended). not trying to start a fight if aegis is right for you i understand , but for me i wanted a 9mm with all the custom toches so i bought a tactical pro in 9mm. can any one explain why they really like gun .

Well, I'm not a big fan of Kimber or the Aegis, but I am a fan of the concept(Kinda contradictory, aint it?!). I like to have things "Tidied" up a bit. I tend to put standard safeties, slide releases, and mag releases on guns that come extended. I think it's just personal preference. Some people don't like carrying a 5in steel framed 1911. I don't have an issue with it, but I do prefer it to be "Cut up" a bit. I even like to bob the hammer spur(Most people think I'm nuts on this, but I LIKE IT ON MY GUN). So many like a "Commander hammer", or even with a spur, but very seldom do they like it bobbed. Ultimately, I think that's the reason. SOme people(Enough people?) like it, so Kimber put one on the market to quench the thirst. |
