Kimber Ultra Ten II parts

Hi all, new here, been spending the last few hours scouring the interwebz to try to research information, but not really getting a solid answer yet.

My dad (who hates the internet and all technology combined) asked me to look into his issue. He has a Kimber Ultra Ten II, and recently it seized up on him. After taking it to a friend, who is a master gunsmith, he was told he needed a new main spring, main spring cap, and hammer strut.

My dad called Kimber, to try and source one from them, but was informed that Kimber had dropped all support for the Ultra Ten II. (I know, I've seen all the hate on these, but I ask please leave most of it out of the thread, if possible...what's done is done, and I'm just looking to try to help him figure out where to source the parts.)

I've seen 1911 mainsprings, mainspring caps, and hammer struts on Brownells, but I don't know enough about handgun internals to know if the Ultra Ten II uses standard 1911 parts, or if there's differences between the parts themselves? If anyone knows more about this, I would greatly appreciate your assistance!

Seth

I do not know either but I do believe the diameter of the main spring plunger in a 1911 is .236 and I would measure the old and see if it matches ultra ten.

Kimber Ultra Ten II Parts

I am suprised at Kimbers respone. I am pretty certain that the parts you require are identical to those on the currently made Ultra Carry II models which are a single stack frame eqivalent to your gun.
I have the Bul M5 equivalent of your gun and the parts are same as 1911 exept that the mainspring and strut are shorter.

The BUL parts should fit the Kimber. These things are now being imported by Charles Daly.
