My relatively new compact stainless (350rnds) has started to fail to lock open after the last round is fired. This is intermitant but does happen more often than not. I only have one mag so I cannot test that portion (yet).
Do loads affect this? I am starting to use mostly reloads.
Thanks!

Your magazine spring might be getting weak. Also check and make sure the spring and follower relationship has not changed in the tube.

Yesterday with just under 300 rounds through my K-Compact II it locked the slide back with rounds still in the magazine (American Eagle 230 FMJ). Later I tried 5 Remington Golden Saber 230 grain cartridges and had a fired case fail to eject and a round fail to feed.

Hopefully just new gun problems.... Mike
