How many bottle openers on a GI 1911?

Back in the day when we actually needed a bottle opener...and I didn't have one on hand...I always just used the lanyard loop and a partially inserted magazine. Never saw the need to look for any more.

This is not something I would recommend for your Ed Brown Executive Target, but the gap between a locked back barrel and dust cover works.

If you were a young thirsty GI forty years ago, that WWII Ithaca you were issued could stand the abuse.
