| 45 ACP VS 40 SW 1911 Platform
If I may ask, what is the difference in shooting a 45 ACP and 40 SW in the 1911 pistol platform, especially when it comes to recoil? Which is easier to control and manage between the 2 calibers? Thanks in advance. |

In my experience the .40 is a snappy shooter, and the .45 is more of a hard push. They're both easily controlled if you spend the time at the range to get the feeling of the gun. They are both easily controlled and manipulatedwith practice. If you're looking for an easily controlled low recoil round there's always the 9mm in the same platform. Almost not real recoil compared to the others if you're new to shooting or just looking for a shorter learning curve for speed/competition shooting.
