Colt Series 70 GC 9mm
Bought a brand new Colt Series GC 70 9mm . Really like the gun .
Question . To improve accuracy , would a fitted match barrel and bushing be enough? I am looking to shoot 147jhp ammo through it , what twist do I need in my barrel? Thank You .

Most experts think the critical part of 1911 accuracy is the fit of the barrel and bushing to each other and the slide.
Slide to frame fit doesn't seem to be as important.
For a Match barrel there are a number of choices, but I always thought the Bar-Sto was about as good as it gets.
They were one of the first to offer true Match barrels to the public and have a huge amount of experience.
Whoever you choose, if they offer a choice in rifling I'd talk direct to them about what they'd recommend.
For match bushings you can choose anything from a one piece original type to versions that use replaceable fitted rings inside the bushing.
Personally, I'd buy a fitted bushing from the same company I buy the barrel.
For what it's worth, for a variety of reasons the 9mm just doesn't seem to be capable of giving as high a level of accuracy as the .45 does, so don't be disappointed if you don't get quite what you'd like out of it.
