For plainclothes, or uniform assignment?

I don't like the Kimber 2's new safeties. If you could find a "series 1" Pro Carry I think you would have a better gun than the S.A. But the loaded Champion is IMO a much better gun than the new Kimber out of the box.

I don't know if that helps at all but that is my two cents.

This would be for uniform duty use and off-duty carry.

As explained on http://www.thefiringline.com and http://www.1911forum.com , I am literally 'fighting city hall' over being allowed to carry a 1911 on duty. IMO 'professional' opinion(IPSC/IDPA shooter and NRA instructor), it is a MUCH better choice than what we are currently given....and WAY better than a Glock.

I'm a bit concerned about the Kimber II 'safety debacle', myself...but am NOT a fan of SA's ramped barrels.
