Looking through Brownells, I was curious, what's the difference between a .38 super slide lock and the .45 part? Do they take differnt barrel links as well?

I know they are different but I don`t know in what way.I think it has to do with how the magazines are.I think the barrel links are the same on both 45`s and 38`s.Hopefully someone will answer the question because I would really like to know too.

In my books this is what I found. No mentioned reference to different slide stops (that I could find/HELP),I know this does not help! I want to know the differece in slide stops, if there is any too! In the books I've read there are 4 Colt slide stops. 45, 10mm/40, 9/38 super, and .22 cal. They should be numbered on the flat that sits against the frame

38 s Slide stop will not interchange with 45 the lug that engages the mag follower is designed to reach further into the frame and at a different height for the 38s mags. |
