12 round makarov magazine

I posted this question on another board but there are some here that probably aren't on it. For those of you that have replaced magazine springs in your Makarov, and used Wolff springs, did you go with the standard strength or extra power? Everything work okay afterwards?

I believe that Wolff only offers the +10% mag springs for Maks. In any case, they have worked welll for me.

I installed the Wolff magazine spring in my Mak, and the first thing I noticed is that the slide reliably locks back now after the last round is fired (which it didn't always do). This was a huge benefit for my pistol, as I wanna know when I'm out of luck; as well, loading the enhanced clip doesn't tear your thumb up any worse than the stock spring. Either way you still still end up with a butchered thumb :roll:

If you are butchering your thumb, then you are not taking advantage of a simple mag loader. Makarov.com sells a very nice one for a couple of bucks, or you can use a S&W 422 mag loader with slight modification to the loader.

I have about 6 mag loaders that I keep in various range bags so that one is always available for me.

Good things. I've seen that device, but wanted to hear from someone that it works well. I'll pick one up online today.

I suppose I could also stop shooting 200 rounds a time at the range, but that's just crazy talk
