Werd. Old thread, indeed. I dig Paras, personally. I've not had a bad experience or a customer with a bad experience either. I do know of a couple shops around that wont stock or even order you one because of their QC issues. Same with Taurus, which I haven't had a bad run in with either.

My first one was when they only made widebody frames. I bought one and had an AMT slide installed on it. It ran great for years. Traded it and I wish I hadn't. I have had 2 LDAs and they were great. My current Para is a stainless P10.45. I will never trade this one off.

Newbie here. I have a Para 45 double stack LDA which I've used for about 5 years but sparingly. A couple of months ago, while at the range, the hammer broke off. My local gunsmiths have advised that Remington now owns Para and parts are hard to find. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions to get this hammer replaced, short of finding a machinist to make one. I find it difficult to believe that mine was the only pistol that such a flaw.
