Armaloy was and still is among the most durable protective finishes available and IMO is way more attractive than modern paint-n-bake finishes like Cerakote. If that beauty were mine, I'd have replaced the Pachs with buffalo horn handles shaped like the S&W service grips in the small picture, to contrast with the satiny silver of the Armaloy. Beautiful weapon, bro, and a tribute to your dad's time on the job. Thanks for sharing.
