I'm just down the road a piece, about halfway between Lexington and Southmont/High Rock area. Moved down here onto a short dead-end dirt road a little over 8 years ago from the King/Rural Hall area. From the sticks to deeper into the sticks. I like the sticks...zoned agricultural here. It's a nice buffer between me and the trouble in the cities, and I don't hafta worry none about gettin' grief over the dogs. Want a puppy? I've got six pretty little pups that came from the gift that kept on givin' in the form of a stray female that I took in...about two weeks too late, it seems. They're gonna be some nice little dogs...probably 18-20 pounds at maturity. They're 13 weeks old as of today. Wormed twice, and the first two vaccinations are already done. | best non-gun use of VZ 1911 Stocks
put the bibs on boys and girls, wipe that drool off your faces! I found a cardboard box on my front porch this afternoon (before the wife got home heh heh heh) from Kentucky. It is my newest folder, by Gene Baskett; although a knife, it definitely has a 1911 relationship. I'll let the pictures do the talking: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Well this will not impress all you 1911 fans. ![]() ![]() My new-yesterday Smith & Wesson M&P 45c, a compact and my FIRST .45ACP pistol. Have ordered bullets (Montana Gold 185 HPs for practice and Barnes TAC/XP all-copper 160s for PD) and a K of Starline nickled cases. Already have powder, primers, and dies. Shot some Remington 185 FMJs today just to see if it works; it does. Capacity is 8 +1 altho I couldn't get the 8th in the mag today even with an UpLULA, so I guess it's 7 +1. Have another mag with a flat base and have ordered 10- and 14-round mags. The former I'll use probably with an X-Grip adapter to fill the gap. I'm rather medium-handed and don't fit the 1911s and plastic pistols with large grips; we'll see how this goes. My carry and fun guns are 2 copies of the M&P 357; those my hands fit really well. ![]() |

Somebody has to make throw away pistols. Although I am about to give up on wearing out a plastic 'g-word'.
